Bass Guitar Lessons for Adults
At Songbird you can learn to play either acoustic or electric bass. Our classes will get you started with the fundamentals, then allow you to branch out into the style of bass guitar that suits you.
We teach a variety of genre including blues, rock, country, Americana, and jazz. With our bass guitar lessons you'll not only learn the songs you like, but the music theory that makes them work.
Ask any local musician and they'll tell you: someone is always looking for a bass player. The good news for you is, we'll start you out learning to play with a full band right form the beginning. You'll know how your bass fits in with the band, and when you're ready, you'll have no trouble finding people to jam with!
Bass Guitar Lessons for Kids 8-13
There are many excellent reasons to sign your young person up for bass guitar lessons: it’s a fun hobby that is proven to increase brain function, cognition, problem-solving skills, focus, confidence, and self-esteem.
Learning to play also helps them learn to work cooperatively with a group, make friends, and further develop their emotional intelligence.
Plus, being able to play music provides a lifelong creative outlet and means of self-expression.

Bass Guitar Lessons for Teens
Teens at Songbird can learn to play the music they love on the acoustic and electric bass guitar. More importantly, they'll learn the skills they need to start a high school band, play in the school showcase, or write and record their own original music. Our teens also can also get a foundation in music theory that can set them up for success as collegiate music majors.
The best part of bass guitar lessons for teens may be the social and psychological benefits. Not only do studies show improved academic performance, teens themselves say they see their music as a way they can distinguish themselves from the world, break down barriers between cultures, and meet people who share similar thoughts and values.
